The Donald
I voted in this past election and I have not missed a presidential election since becoming eligible to vote. Looking up and down the ballot, I can understand why many people choose to vote for The Donald. Over the years Americans have gone to the polls, cast their ballot, with the hope that their lives would change. Hope and Change died with Obama and was replaced with Make America Great Again in 2016. With so many Americans participating in so many elections and seeing so little promised change, their hopes have been shattered and there was no more hope left than to vote for The Donald again in 2024 to Make America Great Again Again. Uncle Joe gave us the necessary four year breather from The Donald’s first term and as a nation we squandered this opportunity to promote true leadership for all Americans to the top. Uncle Joe had four years to groom a successor and pass the ball. Instead, The Donald came back stronger and more defiant than ever with his supporters becoming even more emboldened and delusional, while any Republicans that opposed The Donald were just spineless and fearful of his wrath to mount any meaningful resistance.
Kamala
Just as Hillary was not the ideal candidate in 2016, I believe Kamala was not the correct candidate to defeat The Donald in 2024. To be clear, the Democrats fumbled the ball on its past nominations. Granted the fact that I voted for both Hillary and Kamala and I would’ve liked to see either of them as the first woman president, Kamala did not have the time to mount a successful campaign against The Donald. The reason why I say they were not the ideal candidates is that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has been lacking the organization, leadership, and strategy for some time to elevate a woman candidate to the highest office in the land. Riddle me this! Jaime Harrison, chairman of the DNC, was the public face of the effort to keep Biden at the top of Democratic ticket as the president faced pressure to step down after a poor debate performance in June that raised questions about his age and mental fitness. Kamala’s campaign lost precious time, the DNC was slow to mobilize and rally around Kamala, and The Donald won the presidency by sticking to his game plan of racist and misogynistic rhetoric that resonated just fine with his base as he picked up disenfranchised Women, Latino and Black voters along the way. Whenever The Donald slipped up, his base was waiting in the wings to defend him like a rabid raccoon defends its young.
Fortunately, DNC chairman Jaime Harrison will not seek the leadership post after this latest disaster. How can you get an old senile man in the twilight of his life elected president and not a dynamic young woman elected president against another old senile man in the twilight of his life? Those morons at the DNC missed an open net goal. They even had prominent Republicans endorsing Kamala. What more did they need to deliver a victory?
At least this change at the top of the DNC opens the door to a fresh offensive against The Donald and those that do his bidding. Believe it or not, there is more crazy within the Republican party that has yet to be brought to light. They lurk silently in the shadows; whereas, Democrats are much more vocal and easier targets for ridicule and criticism. I think it would be wise if the leadership of the DNC this go around go to Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky.
Home For The Holidays
In a week I will be going back home for the holidays in New Berlin, Wisconsin. It’s a good time to get back and be closer with my family to help with the one year memorial service we are preparing. The Holidays and more specifically Christmas is an opportunity to pause and give thanks for the love, hope and joy found in Jesus. There’s nobody more qualified than a Trump supporter and there’s no better way as a christian to rejoice and celebrate Christmas than to take your cue from Republican US Representative Thomas Massie from the State of Kentucky and pose with your family in front of your Christmas tree armed with assault rifles asking Santa for ammo.

My fear for America is that we are normalizing extremism to the point that it pushes the country to new boundaries that we never thought could be breached. Let’s be honest, mass shootings in America barely make the headlines anymore and the victims of Sandy Hook would’ve been of voting age for this past election. George Carlin remarked that rich people have an interest in dividing us. They need to keep the lower and middle classes fighting with each other; so, they (the rich) can run off with all the money. They have to keep us fighting with each other so they can keep going to the bank. Case in point, Thomas Massie’s family Christmas card is a photo meant to divide and evoke emotions rather than communicate peace and love. Maybe this year, they’ll be posing with their guns and a hog tied illegal immigrant that they captured as a family to be deported before we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wouldn’t that really drive home the spirit of Christmas!?!?!
This holiday season take a minute to not react to a racist uncle, a Karen of an aunt, a misogynistic cousin or a hateful neighbor. There’s no reason to engage, because nobody wins. If you haven’t figured it out by now, the game is rigged to keep us fighting each other. Check out Facebook if you don’t believe me. On December 15th, I have to walk into a church with my mom and brothers for the one year memorial since the passing of my father. The irony is not lost on me that proud Greek Americans that carry the legacy of the Greeks saying OXI (NO!) to fascism in WWII have said YES! to it in America. The sad thing about it all is that these are good people that I know and love; but, like so many other people have lost their way in America. As Americans, we deserve everything that is coming to us, because we asked for it. Correction! We voted for it!
‘Merica, Fuck Yea!

Don’t worry about me. For the next four years I’m going to be just fine here in Barcelona. Whenever I’m feeling homesick and longing for a taste of the freedom that I left behind, I can find a slice of America on Diagonal Ave. There’s a McDonald’s next to a Starbucks that is a stone’s throw away from a Five Guys. Hopefully, this information helps all those Americans that have pledged to leave America if The Donald is elected to another term choose where to exile themselves. It’s not all eazy peazy lemon squeezy over here, because the only thing missing in all of Europe is a good taco. i’ve eaten tacos in Germany, France, Holland, Greece, and Barcelona and they all suck! They have this thing called a French taco in Paris that is delicious; but, is just an abomination of a taco. Happy Holidays and I hope to see many of you in the states through the end of the year. I would love to meet for tacos and tequila. Merry Christmas! Excuse me, Happy Holidays!
